  • Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder is a complex neurodevelopmental condition that is characterized by difficulty focusing, hyperactivity, impulsivity, and emotion regulation. This condition can be difficult to diagnose, especially because ADHD in adulthood looks significantly different than it does in childhood. You may be wondering if this diagnosis fits for you, and are looking for answers. It is important to get an accurate diagnosis in order to get the proper treatment, and many psychiatrists require a formal evaluation before prescribing stimulants that help with the symptoms of ADHD. If you choose to move forward with the process, you will undergo an evaluation that takes 3-5 hours. You will then receive a psychological report along with a feedback session where I explain the results of the testing.

  • Using the Weschler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS-IV), IQ testing involves measuring your levels of intellectual ability in four domains: verbal, spatial, memory, and processing speed. An IQ test takes roughly two hours and will be followed by a separate feedback session and where you will receive your intelligence report.

  • There are a variety of reasons you may need this type of psychological evaluation. Diagnostic and personality assessment involves carefully looking at all areas of your life and current functioning, including both psychological symptoms and innate personality traits. Depending on your specific goals, the evaluation takes 2-5 hours and will be followed by a comprehensive report and feedback session. During this feedback session we discuss the results of the testing, as well as my recommendations for next steps and how to best use this information.
